Scabiosa ‘Incisa Pink’
Delicate yet long-flowering, Scabiosa ‘Incisa Pink’ is a charming perennial that brings soft colour and movement to the garden for months on end. Its pale blush-pink, pincushion-like blooms rise gracefully above neat mounds of finely cut, grey-green foliage, attracting bees, butterflies and other pollinators throughout the warmer seasons. The airy flowers are perfect for picking and last well in arrangements.
This easy-to-grow perennial thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, making it ideal for South African gardens where long, dry summers are common. It performs beautifully in borders, cottage gardens, or rockeries, and is especially striking when planted in drifts or mixed with blues, purples and silvers. Deadhead regularly to extend flowering, and cut back lightly after each flush to maintain a tidy, compact shape.
Scabious ‘Pink Mist’ is both drought-tolerant once established and relatively frost-hardy, offering effortless beauty and colour almost year-round in mild regions.
