Shipping Policy
**Shipping Policy for Plants**
At MantisPlants, we take great care in preparing and shipping your plants to ensure they arrive in the best possible condition.
Bare Root Shipping
All plants are typically shipped bare-rooted, meaning that the soil is carefully removed from the roots to prevent any damage during transit. We wash the roots to remove any remaining soil and allow them to dry before wrapping them gently in tissue paper. This process helps minimize stress on the plant and ensures its safe arrival to you.
Pot Shipping Option (Not Recommended)
While we do offer the option of shipping some plants in their pots, this is generally not advisable. Shipping a plant in its pot can result in root damage due to movement and stress during transit. The roots can become constricted or disturbed, which can harm the plant. If you are still interested in this option, it must be arranged in advance with the vendor, and we will take extra precautions to pack it as securely as possible. However, we highly recommend the bare-root shipping method to ensure the best possible outcome for your plant.
**Careful Packaging**
We take pride in our packing process to ensure your plant arrives safely. Every plant is carefully packed, with extra attention to detail to protect the roots and foliage. We take care to secure the plant during transit, and make sure it is cushioned and stabilized inside the shipping box to avoid damage.
Our goal is to make sure your plant reaches you healthy and ready to thrive! If you have any questions about the shipping process, feel free to reach out to us.

Euphorbia Parvimedusae Hybrid
Oudtshoorn, WC
Euphorbia Parvimedusae Hybrid
The Euphorbia parvimedusae hybrid is a striking and unique hybrid succulent that combines the best features of its parent plants. Native to arid regions of Africa, this hybrid features a cluster of thick, fleshy, and cylindrical stems that resemble an underwater creature, earning it the nickname “Medusa” due to its appearance. Its stems are covered with fine spines, adding a textural depth. During the warmer months, it produces small, yellowish-green flowers that contrast beautifully with its distinctive, sculptural form. Interesting fact: Despite its delicate appearance, this hybrid is highly resilient and can thrive in dry, low-water conditions, making it an excellent choice for succulent collectors and enthusiasts. It is also known for being easy to care for and highly adaptable to different growing conditions.SKU: n/a -

Euphorbia Ankarensis RARE
Oudtshoorn, WC
8Euphorbia ankarensis is a rare and endangered succulent endemic to the limestone escarpments of the Ankarana region in northwestern Madagascar. This unbranched species is characterized by its cylindrical, pale green stems that can reach up to 1 meter in height and 4 cm in diameter. At the apex, it produces a crown of deciduous leaves that are green above and reddish beneath, often covered with fine white hairs. These leaves are shed at the onset of the dry season, a typical adaptation to its arid habitat.
In spring, the plant produces small, yellow-green to purplish cyathia—modified inflorescences characteristic of the Euphorbia genus. These are surrounded by cyathophylls, which are bract-like structures that aid in attracting pollinators.
E. ankarensis thrives in well-draining, mineral-rich soils and requires a warm environment with temperatures not falling below 12°C. It is sensitive to overwatering, especially during its dormant period in winter, and should be kept dry during this time. The plant prefers full sun but can tolerate moderate shade, though it should be acclimated gradually to direct sunlight to prevent scorch.

Perfect for those who appreciate a plant that can rock the “all black everything” vibe!
Care Instructions:
