An interesting fact about Daylilies:
Edible Blooms
In parts of Asia, especially China, daylily buds and flowers are edible and used in soups, salads, and stir-fries. (Always confirm the species and avoid hybrids for consumption.)
Tough as Nails
Despite their delicate looks, daylilies are extremely hardy and can survive drought, heat, frost, and poor soils — making them ideal for low-maintenance or waterwise gardens.
“One Day Wonder”
Each flower typically lasts for only a single day — hence the name daylily (from the Greek hemera = day, kallos = beauty). But don’t worry — each stem carries many buds, so the display continues for weeks!
Agapanthus ‘Charlotte’
A beautiful short to medium sized agapanthus with elegant clusters of blue flowers with a dark mid-rib held above lush, green foliage. Perfect for garden borders, mass planting and patio containers, adding colour and charm to any garden.
Care: Plant in full sun to partial shade in well-drained soil, and water regularly during the growing season.
Pelargonium tomentosum — often called peppermint-scented pelargonium — is a charming, soft-leaved plant grown as much for its fragrance as its looks. Its velvety, heart-shaped leaves release a fresh peppermint scent when touched, making it a delight along pathways, patios, or anywhere you can brush past it.
In season, delicate white flowers with subtle markings rise above the foliage, adding gentle beauty without overpowering the plant’s main attraction — its scented leaves. Its spreading, slightly trailing habit makes it ideal for pots, hanging baskets, or as a soft groundcover in sheltered garden spots.
This pelargonium prefers bright light or partial shade and well-drained soil. It is easy to care for, forgiving of occasional neglect, and benefits from light trimming to keep it compact and bushy.
Perfect for both new gardeners wanting a rewarding, low-fuss plant and seasoned growers who appreciate sensory garden plants, peppermint pelargonium adds texture, fragrance, and charm wherever it grows.
Anna Mae Hagar is a stunning large yellow flower with a green throat. Very easy to grow.
