This graceful shrub produces a profusion of dangling, lantern-like flowers — bright yellow petals peeking from deep red calyces — from spring right through to autumn. Its blooms seem to dance among the leaves, attracting bees and butterflies with their nectar-rich appeal.

Blue spires of flowers make this a stunning addition to a garden. This is a fast growing and tough perennial plant that grows in dry or clay or poor soil, but does need drainage. Bees love the flowers.
The blue flower spires can be up to 2 feet in length. Cut the spent flower spikes and finger pinch / gently prune to maintain a dense habit.
Full sun. Native to Madeira Island.
