Our featured store is the specialist camellia, rhododendron and azalea Keurbos Nursery in Elgin.
They have a wide variety of healthy, ericaceous (acid-soil loving) plants. Camellia’s, rhododendrons and azaleas love a partially shady or cooler spot in your garden and they don’t like to dry out. If they are wanting for water in the summer months, their buds will form, only to drop before they open.
They offer click & collect ONLY, or please organise your own courier or driver to pick up these wonderful and beautiful plants.
They also encourage visitors to come and visit – or ask questions. Keurbos normally opens for the Elgin Open Gardens at the end of October/early November.

Vendor Biography
Stanler Farms is a family run business established in 1975. We are now a third-generation company operating in both the Western Cape and Gauteng.
We initially concentrated on maize and cattle-farming, until we were approached in 1985 by one of the largest mushroom producers in South Africa, asking as to recycle their spent compost.
Now, mushroom compost is no ordinary compost. It is a perfected mixture of kraal manure, wheat straw and peat. This helps mushroom farmers to grow mushrooms in record time. Once the mushrooms have finished growing, we take the remaining compost off of the farmer’s hands.
One of the great things about mushroom compost is that it is made to an exact recipe. You always know what you will be getting – time after time and load after load. The compost is high in Nitrogen, Phosphate and Potassium and also contains a wide range of micronutrients.
Baffled by the science? Don’t be. Just give us a try, you won’t be disappointed.
At Stanler Farms, we are proud and confident of our product, as attested to by the lush gardens, award-winning golf courses, bowling greens and fertile agricultural lands of our clients.
