Copiapoa hypogaea is a rare and slow-growing cactus species native to the Atacama Desert in northern Chile. It has a low, often subterranean growth habit, with globular to slightly flattened stems that are typically dark grey to brownish in color. The plant is covered in fine, short spines or can even appear spineless. It produces beautiful yellow flowers from the crown, usually in summer. Copiapoa hypogaea is ‘n seldsame en stadig-groeiende kaktusspesie wat oorspronklik uit die Atacama-woestyn in Noord-Chili kom. Die plant groei baie laag en soms ondergronds, met bolvormige tot effens plat stamme wat gewoonlik donkergrys tot bruin van kleur is. Dit het fyn, kort dorings of kan selfs amper doringloos lyk. Pot Shipping Option (Not Recommended)
While we do offer the option of shipping some plants in their pots, this is generally not advisable. Shipping a plant in its pot can result in root damage due to movement and stress during transit. The roots can become constricted or disturbed, which can harm the plant. If you are still interested in this option, it must be arranged in advance with the vendor, and we will take extra precautions to pack it as securely as possible. However, we highly recommend the bare-root shipping method to ensure the best possible outcome for your plant.
