Ericaceous compost is acidic and is beneficial for plants that like an acid soil. For example camellias, rhododendrons, erica’s etc.
Hydrangeas also benefit, making their colours more intense and also making certain flowers more blue in colour. The pH of an acidic soil is typically between 4.5 and 6.

A beloved classic since the early 1900s, Rose ‘Dorothy Perkins’ is one of the most charming and reliable rambling roses you can grow. It produces abundant sprays of small, double, rose-pink blooms that cover the plant in a spectacular display during late spring and early summer. The flowers have a delicate, old-fashioned charm and a soft fragrance that makes them irresistible in the garden.
