Japanese Anemone
A beautiful, elegant, light pink flower produced in Autumn. These dainty flowers bob gently in the breeze.
It likes partial shade and humus-rich, moist, well drained soil. They can be grown in (partial) full sun as long as the soil is not allowed to dry out.

Alstroemeria, commonly called the Peruvian lily or lily of the Incas, is a genus of flowering plants in the family Alstroemeriaceae. They are all native to South America.
This form is variegated – it has beautiful white and green leaves. This Colorita alstromeria is a naturally compact variety that will flower all summer long from early spring. Low maintenance and beautiful in containers or in the ground.
Phlomis russeliana (Jerusalum sage, Turkish sage)
This lovely plant brings interest to the garden all year round, and is one of my favourite plants.
First it has the flower buds and the resultant beautiful flowers, and then the architectural seed heads throughout Autumn.
It’s an evergreen perennial which likes full sun but will appreciate some partial shade during hot summer afternoons.
The yellow hooded flowers are in clusters well above the basal foliage which remains as a low ground covering mound.
The ornamental seed heads are a great food source for birds. It is an excellent choice for cottage gardens, dry sunny borders, wild gardens and meadows.

Aechmea gamosepela, the ‘matchstick bromeliad’ has mid-green leaves with rounded tips. It reaches a height of approx 30cm.
Endemic to southern Brazil.
It produces spikes topped with pink flowers with blue tips. Once open, the blue tips reveal pink flowers with a blue throat.
Gasteria batesiana is a small, hardy succulent native to South Africa. It has dark green, triangular leaves with rough, textured surfaces, often adorned with white spots or streaks. The plant grows in a rosette form and can tolerate low light, making it ideal for indoor cultivation. It produces tubular, pinkish-red flowers on tall stalks, typically during the spring or summer. Known for its drought tolerance and easy care, Gasteria batesiana is popular among succulent collectors.
Gymnocalycium mihanovichii variegata, commonly known as the Variegated Moon Cactus, is a striking and unique cactus characterized by its vibrant, multicolored tops, which are often bright yellow, pink, or red. The colorful crown is a result of a lack of chlorophyll, making it an interesting addition to any succulent collection. The base of the cactus is typically a green Gymnocalycium, which provides stability and nutrients to the colorful top. This plant is often grafted onto a more resilient cactus species to enhance its growth and longevity.
