It likes partial shade and humus-rich, moist, well drained soil. They can be grown in (partial) full sun as long as the soil is not allowed to dry out.

The plants die back in winter with regrowth (leaves) in the late winter and early spring. These plants are not sold by us as bulbs, (unless ordered in winter) but as leaved/rooted plants ready to be planted out.

The flowers make a reasonably lasting cut flower for the vase too.
A flowering plant in the buttercup family Ranunculaceae, is native to Asia.
