A robust, long-flowering lavender variety specially selected by the late South African herb expert Margaret Roberts. This cultivar is valued for its exceptional heat and drought tolerance, extended flowering period, and strong fragrance.

  • Growth habit: Upright, bushy, evergreen shrub with fine grey-green aromatic foliage.

  • Height & spread: Reaches 80 cm–1 m high and 60–80 cm wide at maturity.

  • Flowers: Long spikes of deep violet-blue blooms, produced almost all year in mild climates, with peak flushes in spring and late summer.

  • Fragrance: Strong, clean lavender scent — excellent for potpourri, oils, and sachets.

  • Uses: Ideal for herb gardens, borders, rock gardens, path edges, and container planting. Makes a superb low hedge or mass planting for fragrance and pollinator attraction.

  • Growing conditions:

    • Sun: Full sun (6+ hours daily).

    • Soil: Well-drained, sandy or loamy soil; avoid waterlogging.

    • Water: Low once established; moderate during establishment.

    • Frost: Light frost tolerant.

    • Maintenance: Light pruning after flowering to maintain shape and promote new growth; avoid cutting into old wood.

Special features:
*Longest flowering lavender in South Africa

*Drought and heat hardy once established
*Attracts bees and butterflies
*Perfect for scented gardens and water-wise landscaping
