Gasteria lilliputana is a tiny, yet striking succulent native to South Africa. This miniature plant features thick, fleshy leaves that form a dense rosette, with dark green to greyish-green coloring and distinctive white markings or spots. In late winter or early spring, it produces small, tubular flowers in shades of pink or red, adding a pop of color to its compact form. Tylecodon buchholzianus is a winter-growing succulent shrub native to the arid regions of South Africa, particularly the Western and Northern Cape. Like other members of the genus Tylecodon, it is well adapted to long, dry summers and produces leaves only during the cooler growing season.

• Stems may become woody and grey with age.
• Leaves are fleshy, green, and appear mainly in winter (active growth period).
