Hydrangea macrophylla ‘You & Me Miss Saori’ PBR is a breathtaking variety known for its unique, double-petalled blooms with soft white centres delicately edged in vivid pink. Hydrangea serrata Grayswood

This is also one of my favourites : A small deciduous shrub with ovate leaves. Lace-cap flower-heads with blue central fertile florets surrounded by white sterile ones which turn with age to pink and crimson, flowering in late spring to summer – which is why it’s known as a Christmas Rose in South Africa. Or hortensia for Europeans.

Hydrangea serrata Tiara

A small and compact deciduous shrub with reddish-purple foliage and lace-cap (lacecap) heads of pale blue sterile flowers surrounding deeper blue fertile ones. (or pink coloured flowers. The light green leaves will turn red purple in the sun.

Flowering in late Spring early summer. This is why it’s known as a Christmas Rose in South Africa. Or hortensia for Europeans.

Deciduous, flowers Nov-Mar (eventual height approx 1 – 1.5 m).
Moist soils and semi or full shade.
Delicate flowers.
