Oakleaf hydrangea
An unusual hydrangea not often found. Oak leaf shaped leaves, deeply lobed, dark green – they turn a red colour in autumn. The flower heads appear from midsummer through to autumn. Flowers open as white but fade to pink and violet.
Also known as a Christmas Rose in South Africa. Or hortensia for Europeans.Deciduous, flowers Nov-Mar (eventual height approx 1m).
