Compost, Toolshed
Ericaceous (Acid) compost
Raithby, WC
Ericaceous compost is acidic and is beneficial for plants that like an acid soil. For example camellias, rhododendrons, erica’s etc.
Hydrangeas also benefit, making their colours more intense and also making certain flowers more blue in colour. The pH of an acidic soil is typically between 4.5 and 6.SKU: n/a -
Plants, Shrubs & Perennials, Trees
Syzygium Paniculatum (Eugenia Myrtifolia) 21cm
Raithby, WC
This very fast growing shrub makes a fabulous screening hedge for privacy. Can also be pruned into topiaries and interesting shapes for landscaping.
Regular trimming will make it very thick/dense. Left to grow unchecked it can make a big lax shrub/bush/tree. Also an excellent boundary wind break.
Lush green leaves and has creamy white flowers in early summer. The small dark pink/red edible berries will attract birds to the garden.
Grows up to 1 metre per year and has a shallow root system – not invasive.
Also known as Australian Brush-Cherry.
For sale in South Africa. Due to the large size of these plants, they cannot be couriered as per our other plants. Click and collect only, or deliveries for Somerset West only. (sorry!) We will have some smaller plants able to be couriered soon. Watch this space!
