This striking aeonium has dark purple or black succulent leaves. It forms clumps of 3 to 4 feet tall with the stems topped with rosettes of its purple black leaves. It is mostly a winter grower and is somewhat dormant in warm, dry summers. The Black Rose Tree is a native of the Canary Islands and North Africa.
