Buddleia is a shrub or large bush and is also called the butterfly bush because it gives off a sweet smell which attracts both birds and pollinators including bees and butterflies.
Buddleia can grow to 6 or 10 feet high and just as wide. It is a perennial, semi-evergreen plant, meaning once it has flowered, it loses its foliage for a only a very short period of the year. The flowers of a buddleia appear in early summer through into autumn, and their fast growing speed makes them the perfect choice for those wanting a quick and easy evergreen bush with colour.
Buddliea’s commonly come in white and purple (Dark Knight), but also in yellow, pink, red and blue.

A beautiful dark purple leafed, flowering plant in the family Acanthaceae.
A small evergreen (or ever purple) leaved perennial shrub. With small light pink flowers.
Prune it regularly, as the new growth has the best colouring.
It likes full sun but will appreciate some partial shade during hot summer afternoons.
Mostly native to tropical Asia and Madagascar, but with a few species extending north into temperate regions of Asia. Many species are cultivated for their two-lipped, hooded flowers in shades of blue, pink, white and purple.

This rubus plant is an upright growing, semi-self supporting shrub which should be placed in full sun or partly shade. It differs from Rubus Fruticosus which has thorns. It prefers well drained, light sandy or sandy-loam soils with a ph level between 5.8 and 6.8 (KCl). Well decomposed compost should preferably worked into the soil before planting. Pineberry (White Strawberry)-Fragaria chiloensis x virginiana
The pineberry is a fusion of the words pineapple and strawberry and refers to a relatively new cross bred variety (not genetically engineered) of a white strawberry cultivar that is adorned with red seeds. The fruit produced by pineberries is very aromatic and has flavor that most say is reminiscent of pineapple with a hint of pear while retaining the texture and feel of a strawberry. Pineberries are vigorous and will send forth numerous runners.The growing and caring of these white strawberries are similar to the red strawberries which require well drained, slightly acidic soil with much organic matter such as compost and a little bit of aged manure (or fertilizer such as Talborne Organics 2:3:2).
Due to its appearance, the pineberry fruit is also less appealing to birds than red strawberries.
Planting a red strawberry plant in the same area will help with cross pollination to produce even larger berries.The pineberry is high in vitamin-A and vitamin-C
You can eat them fresh, use them to add fun to any fruit salad or use as a topping for deserts such as pancakes or waffles.
