Lavender – Margaret Roberts.
This is a upright and fast growing lavender hybrid which flowers throughout the year. The blue purple flowers smell divine and are excellent for cutting and drying – for example for linen sachets and potpourris and to scent your room.
The plants do best in a well drained soil in a sunny part of your garden.
If you’re preparing the flowers for drying, cut them whilst fresh and hang them upside down to dry.Excellent also in pots, as a low hedge or in sunny dry spots in your garden. A Mediterranean inspired garden choice and very pretty when planted amongst ornamental grasses and in natural or formal gardens.

Bob Lambert was bred by the famous South African clematis grower, Marie Lambert and is named after her husband. This clematis is ideal for our conditions. Easy growing, light to mid blue flowers that are medium sized with rounded soft petals. Bob Lambert will flower three times in a season providing it is pruned back after each flowering. Bob Lambert easily reaches 1.5m tall.

This robust captivating clematis has very large dark violet-blue flowers with white stamens. The underside of the petals have a white bar. Mature plants can produce semi-double flowers on older wood. It flowers from late summer until autumn and produces attractive seed heads if the spent flowers are not removed. Daniel de Rhonda grows in sun to semi-shade reaching a height of 1.5m.

Fond Memories is one of my personal favorite clematis, as not only does it have a lovely name, but it is also very free flowering over a long period. It produces an abundance of elegant delicate satiny creamy white sepals that are edged rosy lavender. It has deep purple anthers. Fond Memories is semi deciduous in warmer climates.
